This is a Katana model based on a tutorial - this is the first weapon I modelled and it was excellent for practicing some of the useful modelling techniques used for items like swords. The tsuba (the part that separates the blade from the hand-grip) was made by drawing around a 2D-bluprint, then extruding the splines to create the 3D shape. |

This model was made for the same project as the taxi in my main portfolio, which can be viewed here. While this model was quite nice I felt it lacked something special, perhaps because of its simpler shape. I was particularly pleased with the wheels though, the tyres on which were made by arraying a section of tyre in a cylinder to create the full shape. |
